I started to narrow it down to the higher faster wireless frequency's which is why it was effecting newer laptops and only in certain points, even moving a laptop 2m to the next desk would sometimes fix it, so disabled faster bands on some laptops and it would work, or at least better than it was, but wasn't all the time although some areas were effected more than others. I went through months of trying everything as you could move to a different AP and a laptop would work, then next day it wouldn't. Had so many issues, replaced the laptop and slowly the issues got worse and spread across more devices, in particular effecting newer ones. I would let HP take them and see if they can fix them, may be worth just sending one and see if they resolve it before sending the other two?Īlso just a thought as I had loads of issues with it here, we have a Meru wireless setup here with around 15 APs and I would have certain laptop (particularly new laptops) that had all sorts of wireless issues, including a brand new top spec Dell XPS that just wouldn't connect at all.Issue started small, occationally a laptop wouldnt connect first time, then it would take several attempts, then wouldn't connect at all or sometimes even see the wireless (this gradually got worse over weeks/months). Haven't read all the responses but does sound like could be a bad batch of wireless adaptors in the laptops, especially if they were all purchased at the same time and from the same batch. There are so many factors that play a part in wireless connectivity, I'm surprised it works as well as it does. Since then, whenever we see a widespread wireless problem and can't change out the endpoint hardware, a change of the APs has always solved it. We replaced the Ciscos with those original Merakis so that we could use the extensive reporting capabilities, and the problem went away again. That was resolved by replacing the APs with Aerohive instead of Meraki.īefore you say that the problem was with the APs, we had another site with Lenovo tablets and Cisco APs with similar-but-different problems.

The batch with 20 would drop with the slightest movement, like the user made 2 steps to their right. At one site, the users had Fujitsu tablets - 20 were from one batch and 15 were from a different batch - and Meraki APs. I spent 2 days at a WatchGuard wireless training event that explained all of the technical reasons why, and was able to confirm it at least twice in separate real-world instances (neither of which used WatchGuard wireless).
INTEL DUAL BAND WIRELESS AC 7265 BLUETOOTH INTERFERENCE UPDATE
We had a problem like this manifest on a couple laptops running the same wireless cards and discovered an update to our BlueSocket wifi that solved the problem.ĭave, are you saying you found the issue to be a specific problem with a particular wifi card and the issue was resolved by updating firmware on your APs?Yes, there are frequent compatibility problems between radio manufacturers and firmware revisions.

INTEL DUAL BAND WIRELESS AC 7265 BLUETOOTH INTERFERENCE INSTALL
I am not sure what update from HP Softpaq Manager fixed our problem but I was installing pretty much everything it found with the exception of third party apps that it wants to install on your computer such as Cyberlink DVD and that type of garbage. We were using HP Support Assistant but I was told by the HP Tech that the Softpaq Manager will be able to find more updates that are needed. Anyway, after trying a bunch of stuff as you did I had to call HP and they recommended I run the HP Softpaq Download Manager. I just recently had an issue with the HP ProBook 655 G2's where the screen would randomly go black for no apparent reason on the user. We use HP as our standard for the most part.

It sounds like you have tried everything I would have tried.
